There's some pretty dense fog on the sea at the moment. From the middle of the lower observation deck, it's only just possible to make out the top of the ship. Up here, I'm pretty much out of it though; look at that blue sky. We must look funny from a distance. Only the top part of the ship would be visible. I went up to 'The Lookout', the observation platform up ahead above the bridge on the fourteenth floor, and it was like being in an aeroplane; I was just looking down on cloud tops. The foghorn is getting a lot of use. We will be all right if we come across something else our own size but if there's a smaller boat out there, we won't see it.

The sea is amazingly calm today. It has an almost glassy appearance. There's absoultely no sensation of being on a boat at all.
