Back to this scenery for a while then. The grain elevator on the right is at a tiny place called Marienthal, about 2 miles away. The one just rolling up over the horizon is about 5 mile further away in Coronado. It's just occurred to me that, since they are visible from everywhere, they might be of some use to the mobile phone companies. The only network which my phone can detect here is 'Rural Cellular Corporation', a provider so obscure that the phone couldn't identify it from its network code. I had to look it up myself.
