The view from Lizard Lips is a bit bleak. It makes me feel I'm at a windswept beach. The wind seems a little more intermittent than yesterday. Then again, perhaps I'm just suffering from it less because today's route concentrates a little more on going north than yesterday's and a little less on going east. It's also cooler than the last few days, which is pleasant, and less sunny, which is good because I forgot to put any sun cream on my face. I've been wearing it on all my exposed parts every day but still found that the skin on my left arm was blistering when I reached Marshfield. It's starting to flake off now. Of course, my left side is getting a lot more sun than my right because I'm spending most of the time facing west.

In Marshfield, I also found a tick embedded in my abdomen. I don't know where that came from. there's no evidence of it now though so I must have got it out all right.

This morning, the Weather Channel was suggesting that I might have a following wind tomorrow. If that's true, I might be able to start getting back on schedule. Those predicted thunderstorms never turned up though so perhaps I shouldn't put too much trust in the forecast.
