I've seen enough on-line photo journals now to recognise that this is how American road signs indicate a downward hill. Sorry to keep banging on about their non-compliance with what I think is known as the Vienna convention but why would you indicate a downward hill using a picture of a hill going up with a lorry pointing backwards on it?
